The Devotion
Imagine someone gave you $86,400 every day. You woke up, checked your bank account, and a fresh $86,400 was deposited. The only catch: you have to spend all of the money before the day ends. We're not all given $86,400, but we are given something even more valuable: the gift of time. There are eighty-six thousand four hundred precious seconds given to us each day. God tells us that we need to "redeem the time" - in other words, "buy up the opportunities." How will you redeem your time today? Will you and I use our time to advance God's kingdom, love Him, and extend His love to others?
Lord, teach me to number my days, so I can gain a heart of wisdom. Please help me know how to spend my time to honor You and advance Your kingdom.
