There once was a little girl taking a walk with her daddy down a country road at twilight. She looked up at the brilliant canopy of stars and asked: "Daddy, if this is the wrong side of heaven, I wonder what the right side must be like?”
The Bible says we are citizens of heaven. It tells us to think about the things of heaven, not the things of this world. Heaven is our final destination. When you're a follower of Jesus, your appointment with death doesn't have to be scary or mysterious, for He has said "I go away to prepare a place for you..."
Lord, help me live with heaven in view today. Help me know that this world is temporary, but You are eternal. Help me see each person I encounter today as someone made in Your image and headed to one of two eternal destinations. Help me be an ambassador for heaven today. In Jesus' name. Amen.
